I am a floral artist. By that, I mean that I take photographs of flowers, and then I process them on the computer using Adobe Photoshop Elements. What usually results is an image that has colors that do not appear in nature. It is my goal to produce images that create a synthesis of painting and photography.

Jim Curtis received his BA from Vanderbilt University and his PhD from Columbia University. He taught for 31 years at the University of Missouri, and is now a Professor Emeritus from that institution.
